I'm not saying OSU should have a clear cut shot at the title, but look at Hawaii's schedule.

Northern Colorado
L Tech
UNLV
Charleston Southern
Idaho
Utah St
San Jose
New Mex St
Fresno St
Nevada
Boise
Wash

Now you win conference game, so I give ya credit and yes you do have to play your schedule that you are dealt, but how many teams would go undefeated playing that schedule? Can we not name 20 other teams that would go undefeated with that same schedule?

But if you people really want Hawaii to play for the Title, then by all means let them in. So you can see for your own eyes why they shouldn't be there.

FIRST OFF, DOES HAWAII HAVE A CHOICE WHO THEY PLAY IN-CONFERENCE? NO. IT IS WHAT IT IS. THEY ARE IN THE WAC. I ADMIT THAT WE ARE IN A SUBPAR CONFERENCE, BUT WE CAN ONLY CHOOSE 3-4 OUT OF CONFERENCE GAMES AND GUESS WHAT? WE TRIED. WE HAD MICH ST. ON THE SCHEDULE. WHAT HAPPENED? THEY PAID $250K TO GET OUTTA THE GAME. THEN WE APPROACHED WISCONSIN AND MICHIGAN. GUESS WHAT? THEY ALSO BOWED OUT AND MICHIGAN CHOSE TO PLAY NON-OTHER THAN "APPALACHIAN ST.". DON'T BLAME HAWAII, WHEN WE TRIED TO SCHEDULE 3 SO-CALLED TOP BCS TEAMS (LOL).

SECONDLY, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT KINDA STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE YOU HAVE BECAUSE AS YOU KNOW FROM THIS YEAR. THE MOST LOSINGEST TEAMS WERE THE ONES BEATING THE TOP 5 TEAMS. CASE IN POINT, PITT AT W. VIRGINIA (AT WEST VIRGINIA). OH MY GOD, HOW DO YOU LOSE TO A 4-7 TEAM AT HOME. ALSO, USC LOST TO STANFORD AT THE ROSE BOWL. OH MY GOD, HOW DO U LOSE TO A LOWER TIER TEAM LIKE STANFORD. AND DON'T USE THE EXCUSE THAT U HAD AN INJURED QB, CAUSE HAWAII DIDN'T HAVE COLT BRENNAN THE WHOLE FUCKIN GAME AT NEVADA (AT NEVADA) AND THEY FOUND A WAY TO BEAT THEM.

BOTTOM LINE IS ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYBODY! THAT IS THIS YEAR'S SLOGAN. IT DOESN'T MATTER STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE, BECAUSE USC LOST TO STANFORD, W. VIRGINIA LOST TO PITT, S. FLORIDA LOST TO RUTGERS, LSU BC LOST TO FSU (UNRANKED) AND LIST CAN GO ON. PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT ANYBODY CAN BE BEAT ON ANY FRICKIN SATURDAY, SUNDAY, THURSDAY.

JUST TO SHED MORE LIGHT ON THE HAWAII ISSUE. HAWAII'S BUDGET FOR FOOTBALL IS A MEASLEY 2 MILLION A YEAR. GUESS WHAT WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY'S BUDGET IS? 4 MILLION. GUESS WHAT OHIO ST. BUDGET IS? SOMETHING LIKE 14 MILLION. GIVE HAWAII A BUDGET LIKE THE BIG BOYS, THEN WE'LL BE ABLE TO CONSISTENTLY HANG W/ANYBODY. SO DON'T SAY GIVE ANYBODY IN THE SEC HAWAII'S SCHEDULE AND THEY'LL GO UNDEFEATED. I DON'T FUCKIN THINK SO. U HAVE TO REALIZE THAT IT IS HARD FOR ANYBODY, AND I MEAN ANYBODY (WHETHER UR SOS IS #1 OR #119) TO GO UNDEFEATED.

BTW, ALOHA AND HAVE A NICE FUCKIN DAY.

That was a below average Pac 10 team that gave them all they could handle last night.

JOHNNIEC,
I'D BET U DIDN'T WATCH HAWAII/UW GAME? IF U DID, U WOULD'VE KNOWN THAT HAWAII WAS LITERALLY HANDING U.W. THE FUCKIN GAME. 4 TURNOVERS IN THE 1ST QTR (ALL BY HAWAII). I GOTTA SAY THAT ONLY 1 T.O. WAS U.W.'S RESPONSIBILITY. THE OTHER 3 WERE GIFT WRAPPED . ALL 3 WERE TURNED INTO SCORES. THAT'S PRETTY FUCKIN SAD WHEN U GET 3 T.O., TURN IT INTO POINTS AND CAN'T EVEN HANG ONTO THE WIN. ON TOP OF THAT, U GET SHUT OUT IN THE SECOND HALF AND MAJORITY OF THE 2ND QTR. I'M NOT GONNA TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM THE SCORE, BUT IF HAWAII DOESN'T TURNOVER THE BALL 3 TIMES. THE FINAL SCORE READS... 35-7, BOTTOM LINE.

ALL I ASK IS TO USE UR BRAIN BEFORE U SPEAK, THAT WAY U SOUND HALFWAY INTELLIGENT. GET UR DUCKS IN A ROW BEFORE U MAKE A STATEMENT.

Ohio St won at Ann Arbor (SO DID APPALACHIAN ST.) LOL.

Look at common scores against Washington. Ohio St destroyed UW in Seattle whereas Hawaii barely beat them at home. (OHIO ST. DIDN'T DESTROY UW. WASH. LITERALLY GAVE UP IN THE 2ND HALF OF THAT GAME, IF U WATCHED IT. OH AND BTW, WASH. WAS ALSO IN THE LEAD IN THAT GAME AT ONE POINT). LOL.

Don't forget how lucky Hawaii was to defeat La Tech early in the year. (HAWAII ALSO GAVE UP 3 T.O. IN THAT GAME TO LA. TECH, SAME RESULT AS WASHINGTON. GIMME A FUCKIN BREAK. BTW, CAN I ASK WHO WON THAT GAME? OH YEAH, HAWAII DID). LOL.

why do u have to "decimate" a team to prove ur a top 5 team? last time i checked, a win is a win is a win. it doesn't matter about style points. really it doesn't. perfect example. boise ran up the score on all of their conference foes. hawaii didn't run up the score on boise. they should've easily won by 19 points. they were on the one yard line w/a minute left in the game. june jones decided to take a knee on the #19 team in the country. does anybody bring that up? no! why, because all people look at is the final score. all the east coast guys that don't stay up to watch hawaii's games open the paper the next morning and see 39-27 (uh vs. boise). gimme a frickin break already.

it's hard enough to win games and u want teams to decimate others. just ask w. virginia, s. florida, usc, cal, lsu how hard it is to beat unranked teams.

so lsu is head and shoulders above everybody, even though they lost to arkansas. usc is head and shoulders above everybody right? even though they lose to stanford at home. unbeaten means unbeaten! who else went undefeated this year? do u know what ohio st.'s strength of schedule is? i'll leave it up to u to figure it out. but a hint first, they're not too far off from hawaii. was ohio st.'s win over mich. st at home convincing? was their lost at home to illinois convincing? no! so what makes them better than hawaii?

Because the Big Ten 2-8 teams are FAAAARRRR superior to the WAC 2-8. I mean I understand your frustration, but you also have to face reality. For a team from a 2nd rate conference like the WAC to be considered, they either have to A) beat a legit top level team in non conference and/or B) run through their conference with relative ease. That's just the way it is - Hawaii did neither.

Hawaii doesn't run the ball nearly well enough to win a bowl game with a BCS power..You have to have balance to win games like this..And Hawaii shouldn't even be used in the same sentence as Boise St. last season..Boise was an excellent running team last year. It gave their offense much more balance than what you see with Hawaii. The only reason Boise didn't beat Hawaii this year is because they lost most of their starters off of that team. Plus as we all know when you take Hawaii off the islands they are a much different team. The final stats from their game with Goergia will read Hawaii passing yards:250 Rushing yards:20. And Georgia will have about double that amount.

so let me ask u this, what is tom brady and co. or peyton manning & co.'s ratio of pass to run plays? and don't give me this crap about tom brady & co. is in a totally different league (obviously they are, NFL). my point is, these teams have shown that u don't have to run good in order to be a good team. tom brady, big ben, peyton all pass first and do it with success. u don't have to run to set up the pass. this is not grandpa's offense ur running. come on, get w/the program.

also, u do realize that hawaii outgained boise last year and almost won at boise. they only part of the game that they lost was the special teams. boise blocked a field goal and PAT for points. other than that slip up by hawaii, uh comes away w/the win. u guys need to do ur research before spouting off at the kisser.

so in other words, the bottom of the pack in these conferences is what matters? i don't get u? u base someone's wins on the bottom of a conference's pack? what world do we live in when we are comparing wins and bringing 2-8 teams into the mix.

i'm assuming ur saying that the big 12 mid teams are better than wac's mid level teams?

The ratio of run to pass plays isn't the point..What matters is how many yards rushing a team produces that keeps defenses honest..And Indy and NE run the ball very well when they do run..Hawaii doesn't..They average only 74 ypg rushing..

By the way I went back and looked at Hawaii's offensive numbers from last year..They scored more points and were a more dominate team on offense because they had more run/pass balance..They averaged almost 130 yards rushing a game last season compared to 74 this year..Defenses this season can now pin their ears back and attack Hawaii's passing game without having to worry much about the run game..And that's what has caused their point production to go down this year..

No I did watch the game, and yeah they turned the ball over. Thats part of the game. How many of these other teams could have said well if we didn't turn the ball over something different would have happened? While watching the game I also saw Washington run all over the Hawaii defense. This was not a good Washington team that Hawaii was playing, since you watched the game and all you should know that too. Did you happen to see the Huskies qb out there? Could he pass to save his life? With the exception of that long pass at the end of the game, almost nothing was completed down field. Since we are talking what ifs here, what if Wash doesn't bobble that pass at the end of the game in the endzone? What if Wash QB didn't overthrow his WR's all game? What if Kansas makes those 2 field goals and doesn't throw an INT at the 2 against Mizzou? What if Cal backup QB spikes the ball against Oregon St in their first loss? What if Dennis Dixon wouldn't have gotten hurt? What if Sam Bradford doesn't get hurt in the first half vs Texas Tech?
